Is 13 too old to start horse back riding lessons?

Okay so im 13 and I loved horses ever since I was little but we JUST NOW got me started in lessons D: so do you thin that 13 is too old to start english horse back riding lessons??? When I was 12 i started western riding with 3 other kids who were a lot younger then me and it only lasted about 7 or 8 months and I haven’t ridden in 3 months so now I want to do english so do you think that 13 is too old to start???

No way! Riding is one sport that people can take up, and come to be quite good at, no matter their age. I know many great riders who didn’t start until they were 16, 32, 40, and later, at 13 you should have no problem! Have fun!

What are 4 main muscle groups invloved in horseback riding?

Hello! I’m doing a project/speech on the sport of horseback riding. I’m a horse rider myself, but am having trouble figuring out the science behind it. I was wondering if anyone knew which 4 main muscle groups are used when you ride a horse, and how are aerobic and flexibility activities involved? If anyone has any ideas that would be great! Thanks a lot!

butt (those muscles hurt me most after riding)
inner thighs (to hold on and give the horse more confidence in the rider)
Fore arms (holding reigns tight)
Lower back (Sitting right)
