Go to a local store that sells horse riding gear and supplies. Go online and look it up too would work, unless the owner is old and not into the technology of today then he would most likely not have a site. Or stop at someones horse ranch and ask if they know anyone offering the lessons… most people will have the contacts.

I am going to a horse riding camp for a week, i am kind of scared i’m going to make a fool out of myself, im not an expert with horse riding.
I went horse riding like 5 months ago and i was too scared to canter!
Anyway, we’re going on ponies. And i need some tips on how to horse ride and things like that, and hints, or just some helping out.

Reading about riding horses and actually riding one are two different things, Can you take a few lessons before you go. there is just no way to learn to ride a horse but to climb on one and ride. advice. get a helmet

Foxfield riding camp (california), anyon been there?

I’m looking for a riding camp, and I’ve been looking at foxfield. it looks nice, but i want 2 know from someone whos been there. What do u learn? what are the mini show things like? does everyone get to jump? are the ppl nice? etc. sorry, this is a lot of questions, i just wanna know!!

well its a very nice place, the grounds are pretty. how nice the people depends on you. a lot of the people there are rich, and have an attitude about a lot of things. if you can ignore that, or if you are like that then you would probably do ok with them. the training is ok, not the best, not the worst. the place, like most big barns in socal, is very political. you will probably find that money rules most.

i never actually stayed at the camp, but i rode there for awhile when i was younger. i knew many who went there and they said it was fun, but none of them rode there for very long. most would ride at other barns and just go there for the camp.
