Horse riding in Runes of Magic

Tuesday Jun 30, 2009

level 2 character riding horse in Runes of Magic using horses from tutorial and level 2 gift bag. The music is from same game. The speed in video is increased with 50%. The real ride is 30 min. To get to all areas I think it would take 45 min real time. Sorry for the lags. The idea is to show the areas and how big Runes of Magic is. Relax and enjoy the ride and the music.

Duration : 19 min 47 sec

What is the best way to start Natural Horsemanship?

Tuesday Jun 30, 2009

I have been looking on the internet for books and dvds etc. for Natural horsemanship. Are they any you would recommend? So far i’ve found Parelli looks quite good but it is very expensive and Clinton Anderson.

I’ve seen Pat Parelli live, and later attended a day long clinic by a Parelli instructor, plus I’ve seen some of his DVDs and have his book.
I like his 7 games and use them with my horses. And to see him live is so much fun – it’s like a cross between a circus and a horse show!
But when it comes right down to learning and teaching horses, I prefer Clinton Anderson. Clint is very, very clear and easy to understand. His DVDs start at point A and spend a long time on that point, sometimes you almost get tired of having it repeated and repeated and repeated, except that’s the way you learn, and it’s also the way horses’s learn. Repetition. Then he goes to point B and shows how to expand everything. If you use Clinton Anderson properly you will help your horse think instead of react, to learn to trust you, and to be respectful and stay out of your space.
Clinton Anderson has DVDs on almost every topic. I would say his focus is – teaching the backyard horse owner how to be a better rider and how to work with their horse. I would say Parelli focuses on groundwork to almost exclussion of riding, where Clinton does alot of groundwork, but it is with the focus of stuff you can use when its time to get riding.
I bought two sets of DVDs from Clinton off eBay this winter. One is a set of 6 DVDs on foals/weanlings/yearlings. It starts with a two day old foal and how to catch them, progresses to training your young horses to lead, shows how to handle an older foal that hasn’t been caught or trained. By the end of the set he is doing quite advanced excercises with four month old foals and later yearlings, I am using these excercises with both my yearling and my mature mare who has some respect issues and they are making a big difference. On eBay I paid about $70 for this set. I also bought his 4 DVD set called "Problem Solving" it isn’t a training set so much as a specific problem set, so don’t get that one as your first. The cost for this was about $50 on eBay. My friend bought a set of 12 DVDs (In three different packages) called "Riding with Respect and Confidence" (I think) that are a perfect set to use after the groundwork set, showing how to get your horse under saddle handling thoughtfully, calmly and respectfully. I think she paid $160 for this big set.
I wouldn’t be scared to buy used DVDs on eBay if the seller has a good reputation. I live several hours away from the nearest trainer, so DVDs are essential to me. I also bought 8 different Cleve Wells DVDs this winter, they are terrific too but basically for someone who wants to train their horse to show, specifically Western Pleasure.
All DVDs are expensive. On the other hand, I spend only about $120 for my Clinton Anderson DVDs and that’s alot less than I’d pay for a trainer, and I learned what to do so I can use it on my next horses. And you can keep them and refer back – its amazing how you think you understand a concept until you get out there and try and things act up! Good luck and have fun! Spend some money – that’s what its for!

How do I gain more muscles for horseback riding without riding a horse?

Tuesday Jun 30, 2009

Okay, I have Horseback Riding Lessons Guide Amazon.com’;return true;” onmouseout=”self.status=””>horseback riding lessons once a week but I want to do more for my horseback riding muscles so I can actually get better at horseback riding. What are some exercises I can do to get my muscles in shape for horseback riding each week?

There are tones of exercises you can do to improve the muscles you use for riding, you can even buy books on the subject. The muscles you wanna concentrate on are you leg, lower back and shoulder muscles, the ones you use for riding. Here are a few:

1. leg muscles: try leaning you back up against a door with you feet and lower leg at about 90 degree angle to the floor slide you back up and down from a cinda squatting position.

2 lower back: lye on you belly and lift you legs up off the floor. The same can be done with lifting your front up and down.

3. Push ups or a more human way lying on your belly stretching your arms ether to the side or in front of you, then lifting them of the floor and holding them.

Thank two knee operations, a slipt disk and a broken collar bone for teaching me those exercises to get back in shape. A shame you don’t get exercises that help you stay on the horse lol

body buffing scrub and contouring cream of Herbalife can help you with your problem. I use to have a flabby upper arms also after giving birth to my baby. Has anyone gone to Allegheny Riding Camp in PA?

Tuesday Jun 30, 2009

It’s a riding camp in PA called Allegheny Riding Camp. If you’ve done the Show Camper Program, could you tell me about the shows and how experienced most of the campers were.
I really appreciate it
THANXS

I was never a camper, but I did apply to work there at one point some years ago. They have a good program, if you are wealthy enough to be able to afford it, that is. They STRESS and teach hunt seat equitation. I would suggest that you go to the camp’s website for more information about them.

Good luck.

Tuesday Jun 30, 2009

how to use it i dont know how to be on the horse? should i click something?

Find it in your inventory and use it, like you’d use a potion. Horses in Silkroad Online are a one time thing, so if you use it once and get off, it’s gone forever.

I would like to start Horse riding lessons how much are they and where in North London or Hertfordshire?

Tuesday Jun 30, 2009

Hello, I live in Harrow, North London and would like to start horse riding lessons does anyone know of a place nearby and how much they would cost.

I am willing to travel to hertfordshire also or to other areas nearyby just looking for the best price?

As i have heard that you can get riding lessons for under £20 an hour and am not sure if this is true?

I doubt that you can get good riding lessons for under £20 an hour.

Contessa Riding Centre in Colliers End, Ware is probably the best school in the area if you want to learn to ride properly.

When you’re looking for quality you can’t look for the cheapest as you’ll probably get the tuition that you pay for. Probably best to go for group or semi private lessons if you having to think about your finances.

Better to get a good lesson once a fortnight than a bad lesson every week!

Is it uncommon to take beginners horseback riding lessons in your 20s?

Tuesday Jun 30, 2009

I know it’s a silly question, but I’m curious as to how uncommon it is to start learning in your 20s. I’ve always wanted to Horseback Riding Lessons Guide Amazon.com’;return true;” onmouseout=”self.status=””>learn how to ride, but it seems like the only people who take beginning lessons are much younger.

My friend is in her mid 50’s and she just started taking lessons about a year ago.
