Semi private lessons is a couple (the number varies from one instructor to another) of students to one instructor.
Group lessons is usually 6 or more students to one instructor.
You can get results from all of them. Sometimes in a private lesson you will get tired before the end of the lesson and not get full benefits early on. A semi private is nice you get brief "rest" periods and can learn from what the instructor is telling the other students that you may not be doing yourself. Group lessons expand on both these issues, it has far less personal attention to problems and is harder to learn in.
Semi private is very good with a private now and then to work on any issues you have that need more attention.
